False Teeth and Denture Treaments

Partial Dentures

If you are only missing a few teeth and still have natural teeth remaining, you may be a good candidate for a partial denture. Partial Dentures are removable and are made to fill the space left by missing teeth but also prevent your remaining teeth from changing position. They can be crafted from a variety of materials and have the advantage of a more natural appearance.

Suction & Immediate Dentures

Suction dentures are made using a special impression technique that significantly increases the retention of a denture until it sucks onto the gum with atmospheric pressure. A well-made suction denture requires manual power to break the seal when attempting to remove the denture from the mouth. Suction dentures are only suitable for patients with no teeth.

An immediate denture is a complete or partial denture made out of dental acrylic that is usually inserted the day your natural teeth are removed. They can be worn while healing takes place so that you will not have to appear in public without teeth.

Telescopic Dentures

Telescopic Dentures are a German technology, new to Australia and available to Toowoomba patients of Dr Florian Mack. Telescopic Dentures are a partial denture – fixed but removable and fitted on a few remaining teeth. Telescopic dentures are a cost-effective alternative to All-On-4 and are an ideal solution for those who have lost the majority of the natural teeth due to injury, illness or ageing.

All-On-4 Dental Implants

All-On-4 is an innovative, advanced dentures technique that uses just four implant posts to attach a new set of replacement top or bottom teeth (or both) to the jawbone. Having fewer implants significantly reduces the overall treatment time, recovery time and cost, compared with individual implants.

All-On-4 is most suitable for patients that are lacking all of their teeth on one or both arches or are soon to have all of their teeth extracted. TSD is delighted to provide all of these incredible denture and implant technology to the Darling Downs region. Talk to us today or book your consultation below.
